  • HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PARTICIPATE?
    Registration pricing is based on race categories: 5K, 10K, Combo 15K and Kids 1-mile Gobble Wobble. Early Bird Registration is available with price increases to follow. Registration includes a Commemorative T-Shirt, Medal, Bib with Time Results (Kids race not timed), and a Virtual Goody Bag. The event is free for spectators. Click here to register.

    Click here to edit your registration. On event day, we can help you with any changes you have by visiting the Solutions Tent in the Packet Pick-Up area.
  • WHERE IS THE EVENT GOING TO TAKE PLACE?
    The Dana Point Turkey Trot takes place in the Dana Point Harbor, located in Orange County in Southern California. Registration, Packet Pick-Up, and the Expo are all located in the same area on the corner of Dana Point Harbor Dr. and Golden Lantern at 25001 Dana Point Harbor Dr., Dana Point, CA 92629. Join us in person on race day or participate virtually and we'll ship your race t-shirt and medal to you.
  • IF I DON'T LIVE IN DANA POINT, CAN I STILL REGISTER?
    Of course - runners from all over the globe join us on race day! We even have runners participate virtually and we'll ship your race t-shirt and medal to you.
  • KIDS GOBBLE WOBBLE: CAN PARENTS RUN WITH THEIR CHILD?
    Yes. We encourage parents to run/walk alongside their child during the Kids 1-mile Gobble Wobble. Children (ages 2-12) must be registered for the race and will receive the t-shirt and medal. Sorry parents, no t-shirt or medal for you unless you register for the 5K or 10K and participate in that race.
  • CAN I CANCEL MY REGISTRATION AND GET A REFUND?
    No. Unfortunately, there are no refunds for the Dana Point Turkey Trot. However, you may allow a family member or friend to participate in your place. Edit your registration here. Please contact us to arrange a transfer for yourself to a future race.
  • CAN I TRANSER MY REGISTRATION?
    Participants can transfer their registration to a family member of friend for this years race. Edit your registration here. Please contact our team to transfer your registration to a future race.
  • IS THERE PRIZE MONEY FOR THE 10K RACE?
    Yes! The top 3 male and female finishers of the 10K race will receive prize money. All winners are required to complete a W9 form with their individual social security number (not payable to a race team or coach/sponsor). Winner must be a resident of the United States. 10K Prize Money Breakdown: 1st Place - $1,000 2nd Place - $500 3rd Place - $250
  • HOW EARLY SHOULD I PLAN ON ARRIVING BEFORE MY RACE TO CHECK-IN/PICK UP MY RACE PACKET?
    We recommend arriving at the event 60-90 minutes prior to your start time, to ensure that you have ample time for parking and check-in.
  • WHERE DO I GO TO PICK-UP MY RACE PACKET?
    Packet Pick-Up is located in the Dana Marina Plaza parking lot on the corner of Dana Point Harbor Dr. and Golden Lantern in the Dana Point Harbor. 25001 Dana Point Harbor Dr. Dana Point, CA 92629 Packet Pick-Up Hours Wednesday, November 27, 2024 from 12-6 PM Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 6-11 AM
  • WHAT ITEMS DO I PICK-UP ONSITE PRIOR TO THE RACE?
    All registered runners will check-in at a packet pick-up station to receive their: Commemorative race shirt Bib Assignment & Safety Pins
  • WHAT DO I NEED TO PICK-UP MY ITEMS AT THE ON-SITE PACKET PICK-UP?
    Have your registration confirmation email ready to scan so we can assist you quickly. Picking up for family and friends? Make sure you gather their confirmation details (either their QR code, registration # or know the email address that they used to register) and ensure that their waivers have been signed, prior to your arrival. We cannot issue race packets to individuals for a participant who has not signed their waivers. Participants will receive their T-shirt and Race Bib during packet pick-up. Medals will be given to participants when they cross the Finish Line.
  • CAN I PICK-UP MY FAMILY OR FRIENDS' MEDAL AND T-SHIRT FOR THEM?
    Yes. During online registration, click the box that reads Family & Friends Pick-Up. Create a group for all the participants you need to pickup for. If you've already registered, you can Create a Team so that one person can pick up for your entire party. Note, all participants 18 years or older must have their waivers signed. Are you are picking up for a family member or friend that is 18 years or older? If that participant has not signed their waiver, please advise them to digitally sign their waiver in their confirmation email or download the Event Waiver prior to pickup.
  • WHAT SIZE SHIRTS ARE AVAILABLE?
    We offer a variety of sizes for you to choose from: Youth: Small, Medium & Large Unisex Adult: Small, Medium, Large, XL & XXL Size Chart 100% Cotton t-shirt.

  • (VIRTUAL RUNNER) WHEN WILL I GET MY T-SHIRT & MEDAL?
    Participants will receive their T-shirt and Race Bib during packet pick-up when they check-in. Medals will be given to participants when they cross the Finish Line. For Virtual Participants, race packets (t-shirts and medals) will begin to ship early-mid November. Must register by November 17, 2024 for delivery by Thanksgiving Day.
  • CAN MY DOG RUN WITH ME?
    No. While we love our four-legged friends, we ask that you leave your pets at home. Dogs are not allowed on course for their safety and the safety of all participants.
  • WHERE IS THE START/FINISH LINE?
    The Start Line and Finish Line are located directly next to one another on Dana Point Harbor Dr. just steps away from the Expo and Registration area.
  • CAN I RUN WITH A STROLLER?
    Yes. Strollers are welcome on course. We ask that you line up toward the back of the Start Line corral area to allow for runners to go first.
  • WHERE DO I WEAR MY BIB?
    Please wear your bib on the front of your t-shirt so we can accurately time your race. All participants must wear a race bib while on course. Safety pins will be provided at packet pick-up.
  • WILL THERE BE WATER ON-COURSE?
    Yes. Water Stations will be on-course. Participants are also welcome to bring their own bottled water.
  • WHERE DO I PARK?
    A FREE Shuttle will be available to participants on race day from 5:30-11:15am. The shuttle will pick up at Dana Hills High School (33333 Golden Lantern, Dana Point, CA 92629) and will drop off on the corner of Golden Lantern and Del Prado, near the Ralph's Shopping Center, just up the hill from the event.
  • WILL THERE BE A GEAR CHECK?
    Clear gear check bags will be provided on race day. Luggage or large bags will not be accepted. Visit the Gear Check Tents located near the Expo.
  • WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
    No matter the weather, the Trot will go on! We recommend dressing in layers so you can be comfortable all morning. If you need to store your jackets and other apparel, please visit our Gear Check on-site.
