The Dana Point Chamber of Commerce, the host of the Dana Point Turkey Trot, is proud to partner with the Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group to help our Marines during the Thanksgiving Holidays.
The Dana Point 5th Marine Regiment Support Group's mission is to provide Support and Outreach to our 5th Marines and Sailors while deployed and take care of their families left behind at Camp Pendleton. As a nation, we owe it to our brave service members and their families more than gratitude... We owe them our support.
The 5th Marine Regiment Headquarters Company were deployed in August 2011 for a year-long deployment at the tip of the spear in Afghanistan. That's a long time to be away from family and the comforts of home. In the spirit of service, each of us can play a role and in doing so, we may demonstrate our appreciation for the remarkable sacrifices our American Military families are making for our freedom and safety.

MILES FOR MEALS Make Each Mile Count
MILES FOR MEALS is a partnership between Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County and the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce's Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. With the help of over 470 agencies, Second Harvest is working to eliminate hunger in Orange County by distributing over 1.4 million pounds of food each month to 240,000 Orange County residents in need.
Each $1 fundraised provides 3 meals to those facing hunger in Orange County through Second Harvest's hunger-relief programs.
How you can Help:
Register for the Turkey Trot 5K/10K or Kids race and a portion of your registration fee will go to Second Harvest.
Make an additional donation. 100% of these funds will go to Second Harvest.
Get your friends and family involved by fundraising.
