On Thanksgiving Day, Run so Others Can Eat!

Second Harvest is working to eliminate hunger in Orange County. They provide over 1 million pounds of food each month for over 220,000 people in need.Under the guidance of the Council of Orange, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Food Bank began providing food for the hungry in October 1983.
The Food Bank currently serves more than 430 member charitable organizations that reach the hungry, including church pantries, shelters, senior centers, rehabilitation centers, homes for abused children and many other emergency assistance organizations.
Each dollar donated provides about $12 worth of food to the hungry in our community. Volunteers provide more than 55 percent of the labor, or the equivalent of 40 full-time employees.
